Dove Men + Care: Win A BackYard Makeover

My husband is always talking about how I get these great, cool or fun products to review but that I never get anything for him. I have tried to get fishing, hunting and golfing equipment to review but it just hasn't come through. So, when I got an email about the Dove Men + Care products I called him to the computer to see if he was interested. He is a bar soap kinda guy so I wasn't sure he would do it but he did. He LOVES the Active Clean Shower Tool and enjoys the bodywash also. I love the how he feels and smells after a shower. It is not an overpowering smell but is just right. He says he also sees a difference in his body odor level throughout the day. Since he sweats a lot that is a huge plus to him.

To help introduce their new line Dove is hosting the Unsung Moment Backyard Makeover giveaway. You can help your man win a Manly Backyard Makeover Prize Package and Dove Men + Care Products in the Dove Unsung Moments Sweepstakes. From that time he gave up the remote so that you could watch your favorite show to when you saw him cheering louder at your son's baseball game than at a professional game. Share that Unsung Moment when you noticed your man was truly comfortable in his own skin.

You can also win a Dove Men + Care body wash and bar soap by leaving me a comment here. I will give a bonus entry to those who become my fan on Facebook and an additional entry to those who post about this giveaway on their FB page after following me. And still another entry if you blog about this giveaway linking back to me. So you have 4 chances to win this great product for the man in your life. The giveaway ends on April 2 at 9pm Est.

This post was written for Family Review Network as part of a program for Dove Men + Care , who supplied the Body Wash and Soap for review and giveaway.

Suffering With God

I've had in mind to write the post several times and have never gotten around to it. I thought I better get it down before I forget the details.

A couple months ago Youngest was very upset with me. He didn't think it was fair that he had to do chores and school and what not and that I wouldn't let him have a friend over right then. He said he was going to run away. I told him that I guess if he wanted to he could but that it would be really hard. He went to his room with Oldest and I went to my room to clean it up and to pray. It had been a very trying day. A little bit later I was walking through the house and I asked Oldest where his brother was. "He ran away." was his reply. So I went to the front door and opened it and what I saw was not at all what I was expecting. There stood Youngest at the end of the driveway, crying and having a full-out conversation with himself. About this time Hubby called to check in during his lunch break and I filled him in on what was going on. Then I asked Youngest what he was doing. His reply took me off guard.

Me: "What are you doing?"

Youngest: "Suffering with God."

Me: "Suffering with God?"

Youngest: "Yes, I just don't know what to do so I'm suffering with God. I don't know if I need to runaway or if I need to stay."

Me: "Why don't you come back in and we can talk about it"

So he came back in and Daddy had a talk with him. I didn't get the whole conversation but the most significant part was when Youngest told Hubby that he was saved and that he knew he was saved and that is why he had to suffer with God because he wanted to run away but he didn't think God wanted him to.

I'm really not sure where he got the phrase "suffering with God" but if it means to go to God and have Him help you suffer through your troubles then maybe we should all "suffer with God" a bit more often.
